{"id":2392,"date":"2009-01-20T20:27:26","date_gmt":"2009-01-21T01:27:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.billiardcoach.com\/home\/?p=2392"},"modified":"2009-01-26T02:02:16","modified_gmt":"2009-01-26T07:02:16","slug":"derby_city_classic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.billiardcoach.com\/home\/2009\/01\/20\/derby_city_classic","title":{"rendered":"First photos from Derby City Classic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, some things are better, some worse.\u00c2\u00a0 The Horseshoe Casino is grand looking compared to the Executive West.\u00c2\u00a0 The old hotel was overrun with pool players.\u00c2\u00a0 The Harrah&#8217;s property is expansive in comparison.\u00c2\u00a0 Huge.\u00c2\u00a0 In fact, the first observation by most veterans of the DCC is &#8220;What the f#%&amp; is with the half mile walk from the hotel to the tournament room?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>There is loads of space everywhere except for the arena.\u00c2\u00a0 40 Diamond tables.\u00c2\u00a0 Most of them are packed in like sardines. The aisles for spectators are tighter than ever.\u00c2\u00a0 Food is much better, but at a cost. Twice the price.
