The Snooker World Championship from The Crucible in Sheffield.<\/p>\n

I love watching this via streaming video from Europe.\u00c2\u00a0 The times are tricky.\u00c2\u00a0 The afternoon sessions start at around 6 am Central Daylight Time.\u00c2\u00a0 The evening sessions begin around 1 pm for me. This tournament is in its 33rd year at the crucible, named for the pressure cooker feeling of playing in the centre.<\/p>\n

Top tip:\u00c2\u00a0 Do your best to select a BBC feed rather than the EuroSport feed.\u00c2\u00a0 You’ll\u00c2\u00a0 have much better commentary from the BBC crew.\u00c2\u00a0 Dennis Taylor is my favorite. Virgo, Dougherty, and Davis too.<\/p>\n

The match beginning right now is between a 3 time world champ and a 6 time world champion and the 3 time world champion. Defending champion John Higgins is about to begin playing legend 52 year old Steve Davis. Higgins is one of my very favorite players. He is a master of shot selection, excellent break builder, and has a fabulous temperament.<\/p>\n

Davis of course is the man. He got really fired up after getting through to the second round. He is the oldest to win a match at the crucible in 21 years. Davis has career earnings of over 5 million pounds which is north of $8.5 million US!<\/p>\n

The matches lengthen to a best of 25 frames in the second round requiring some players to compete in 3 sessions to finish a match.
