Organize Your Bankroll"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_3221\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3221\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billiardcoach.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/Bankroll-Composite_sm.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3221\" title=\"Bankroll-Composite_sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.billiardcoach.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/Bankroll-Composite_sm.jpg\" alt=\"Cool stacks of green\" width=\"300\" height=\"1440\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3221\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Build a better bankroll<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This January, I&#8217;ll be undertaking an ambitious project.\u00c2\u00a0 31 pool tips in 31 days at <a href=\"..\/..\/..\/..\/..\/..\/\">www.billiardcoach.com<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Can I give 31 useful tidbits? \u00c2\u00a0Tune in to find out.\u00c2\u00a0 I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll be providing tips in many categories including Training, Travel, Pool Room Safety, Equipment, Tournament Play, Etiquette, and more.\u00c2\u00a0 I encourage feedback as well as suggestions on bite-sized topics that I should cover.\u00c2\u00a0 Here\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the first sampling in the month-long series.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Pool Room Safety Tip:\u00c2\u00a0 Organize your bankroll properly.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Most pool players I know don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t carry their foldin\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 money in their wallets.\u00c2\u00a0 They stack it up, fold it in half, and stuff it in one of their front pockets.\u00c2\u00a0 Pick pockets are less likely to get away with a front pocket pick than a back pocket heist.<\/p>\n<p>A banker friend of mine said the only people he knew that carried so many hundred dollar bills around were either pool players or bankers.\u00c2\u00a0 I suggest putting the large bills in the middle and working outward toward the lower value bills.\u00c2\u00a0 This is so that when you have to grab a couple of singles for a newspaper and a cup of coffee, you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t need to flip past numerous large bills to grab two one dollar bills.<\/p>\n<p>Folks can see into your wallet sometimes and surmise how much cash you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve got.\u00c2\u00a0 If you have a stack of twenty assorted bills in your properly folded bankroll, they won\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know if it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s all ones or a couple thousand bucks.\u00c2\u00a0 I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m a satisfied money clip user, but like the extra security of using a large rubber band to keep everything in its place. As my bankroll swells and shrinks, the rubber band always keeps the money safe and snug.
