India – Government pays for lessons?

I guess they are taking it seriously. I assume the Sports Ministry is some sort of government agency. So pool players, anyone interested in lessons from the Billiard Coach?

* BSFI to spend huge sum on training for Asian Games

New Delhi, Feb 11 (PTI) To help Indian cueists prepare for the Asian Games, the Billiards and Snooker Federation of India would spend Rs 2.5 crore, sanctioned by the Sports Ministry, on their training in the next eight months.

The Games will be held from November 12-27 in the Chinese city of Guangzhou.

The sum, sanctioned last month, will be used for sending players abroad for training and competitions like Asian Snooker and Billiards championship, World Snooker and Billiards championship and U-21 snooker championship.

“Out of the 2.5 crore sanctioned by the ministry, 48.10 lakh is set aside for the coaching camps, 11.96 lakh for the support staff, 10 lakh for holding events in India, 35 lakh for sending team abroad for training and one crore for sending team abroad to compete in various championships and to pay our coaches,” Ravi Tandon, BSFI vice-president told PTI.
